My Plan During Month of Ramadhan

Allah says in Surah al-Baqarah Verse 185 which translated as: “Therefore, those of you who sight the moon (or know it), let him fast.”
First of, I want to say happy fasting in Ramadhan month for my Muslims friends and all brothers and sisters in Islam. I hope we try our best to make our ibadat in good quality (that means I have to control my temper o.O).

As I don't have any more idea what to write today, so I will write about my plans in this blessed month.

Firstly, I am planning to fasting following the sunnah (way) of Prophet Muhammad SAW. One of them was starting my berbuka puasa with dates, or to be more specified rutab.

Another Prophet Muhammad's sunnah is based on this hadith:
Abu Bakar bin Abdul Rahman narrated: A companion of Prophet had told me: "I saw Rasulullah SAW at al-'Arj (a place) pouring water on his head when he was fasting because of thirst and hot."
Maybe this hadith seemed weird, but this is hadith sahih reported by Imam Malik, Imam Ahmad and Abu Daud.

My second plan is to wake up at 3.00 am to perform solat tahajjud, and then reciting al-Quran, 1 volume of al-Quran each day. Then at school, I and my friends with Ustazah Mona recite 2 volume of al-Quran each day, because we only have 15 school days in this month. Like that, I will khatam al-Quran (finishing reciting the whole Quran) 3 times in this month, insya-Allah.

Then, my third plan is to collect hadith as many as I can whenever I have free time.

And my last (but not least) plan is to control my behaviour in this Ramadan month, especially my temper and other bad behaviour.

Oh Allah, please help me make this month a blessed month for me. Please help me in achiving good quality of fast ...

Sajak - Kebodohanku

Dalam kegelapan malam
disinari dengan bintang-bintang
bergemerlapan
Dalam keasyikan alunan suara
membacakan kalam Tuhan
Aku tenggelam dalam lautan cinta
Aku tenggelam dalam perasaan kasih
Lalu aku sedar
Ternyata ianya hanyalah khayalan
semata-mata

Kemudian aku tersedar
Menangis
Memarahi diri
Kerana begitu bodoh
dengan kebodohanku
Aku sedar
Siapalah diri aku
Tidak layak dicintai
Oleh sesiapa

Khat Riq'ah (خط الرقعة)

Ciri-ciri Gaya Penulisan Khat Riq'ah
  1. Bentuk hurufnya yang tegak dan kecil.

Penggunaan Gaya Penulisan Khat Riq'ah

Jenis-jenis Khat Nasakh
Terdapat dua jenis khat Nasakh, iaitu:

Jenis-jenis Khat Thuluth
Khat Thuluth terbahagi kepada dua jenis berdasarkan saiz lebar mata pen yang digunakan, iaitu:
  1. Thuluth al-Aadi (آدي الثلث): saiz lebar mata pena melebihi 2 mm tetapi kurang daripada 6 mm;

  5. Saiz huruf bagi diukur berdasarkan keluasan titik saiz pena, sama seperti khat-khat lain.

The Worst Ever National Day Celebration

I am very very very sorry if the title of this post is a little bit insulting, but this was come from my bottom heart, saying what I felt just now. I beg your apologize for that.
2008 National Day Celebration School Level
With this year's theme Perpaduan Teras Kejayaan, today St. Joseph Secondary School celebrated National Day school level with much havoc and chaos, which led me felt this celebration was the worst celebration ever I celebrated in my life.

Today's celebration started with all the Josephians sang the national anthem Negaraku, followed by the prayer led by me and Mr. Richard Mejin. After that was the speech delivered by Mdm Belinda Lim, our PK 1 and our pre-principal. In her speech, she emphasised on two things: unity and independence.

After the speech, the SJS History Club presented the what-so-called 'the longest cake in St. Joseph'. Luckily I (maybe) one of the luckiest students who having a piece of the cake.

After that was the presentation. For me, it was so boring because there were some students who sang on the stage, which made me felt bored. Only the drama (presented by my own classmate) and the marching band presentation made me felt very excited (Roland, ur orchestra really great. Great job for you).

But one thing that made this celebration was the worst was some student from 4G/4H making chaos at the upper seat (which was supposed to be our class' seat), jumping, dancing with the Jalur Gemilang flag. So, James Lai, Benedict Yet and I went to the lower seat so that we will not be crushed if something bad happen.

After the celebration I was wondering around school, dunno where to wait for the drama practice. At staff room, I received compliments from various teacher, especially PKHEM. Mdm Liew started calling me 'ustaz' whenever she met me. Mdm Liew and Kelvin Jong were impressed by my Arabic pronounciation, asking me where I learned it. I answered that I learn when I'm learning how to recite Quran with the correct pronounciation.

Actually, I learned it last year, because there was one program in RTM 1 channel called Qiraatul Quran. Through this program, I then learned how to pronounce Arabic letters correctly.

Syeikh 'Ali 'Abdullah Jabir (may Allah blessed him) - My Recent Favourite Recitor
As-Syeikh 'Ali bin 'Abdullah bin Solih bin 'Ali Jabir (born 1373 H, died 1426 H) was the imam at Sacred Mosque, Makkah al-Mukarramah.

He's now my main favourite recitor. My other favourite recitor were Sheikh Abdul Rahman as-Sudais, Sheikh Mahir al-Mu'ayqali, Sheikh Sa'ud as-Shuraim and Sheikh Salaah al-Budair.

This was one of the videos of Sheikh Jabir when he was leading solat Tarawih at Sacred Mosque, Makkah al-Mukarramah (sorry, no subtitles provided):

Poem Dedicated to 'The Girl'
This part of this post is the courtesy of the previous entries (see Tertanya-tanya Maksud Mimpi - Mencari Pengertian di Sebalik Mimpi and Sitting for Two Tests - The strange Dream). Now, I already know the name of the girl, but let me keep it for secret until the time comes.

Today, I dedicated this poem to that girl (if she knows about this):

Tertanya-tanya Maksud Mimpi

Semenjak penulis menulis entri Sitting for Two Test, penulis tertanya-tanya apakah maksud di sebalik mimpi.

[Kau... kau nak gagal buat kali kelimakah? Cukuplah... kau tak serik ke... selama ini empat kali kau gagal kerana mereka tak suka kau, tetapi kau yang perasan suka mereka..]

I am Very Ashamed

This morning, Mdm Zalma asked me whether my father can be the imam for solat hajat this Friday. I felt serba salah. Should I tell the truth or should I lie? Then I decided to lie. I said he's pretty busy, you knowlah why.
I was not meaning to lie, but I have to.

And I cannot stand to hide it.

Just now, my father asked me to go out to buy clothes for this Raya this night (belum puasa, dah nak Raya). My answer: cannot, because if I go, I will miss solat Maghrib and solat Isyak. When I gave that answer, my parents started sulking in childish way, complaining to each other about me.

I just ask them: "Cannot go on Saturday ka?", and my mother give harsh answer to me. How cruel.

Then, I was forced to go with them this night so that I will not be called as anak derhaka.

They never think about their duty as Allah's slaves. I had never see them praying (except for solar Hari Raya, but that was only my father).

Sometimes, they consider me, thinking that I should perform solat as it was my duty as Allah's slave. But sometimes they never consider it.

How can my father be the imam for that solat hajat? It's impossible, right?

(I was not meant to insulting my parents, please note that).

Sitting for Two Tests

Reported by al-Bukhari, narrated by Umar al-Khattab: I (Umar) heard Rasulullah SAW saying, "The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for."
The Strange Dream
This morning, I dreamed something that bothered me for the second time. In that dream, I was at the photographing place for photographing session. I don't have any idea what was that for. However, it was not me alone that there. There were other people who were there also, including a prefect girl from my own school. The prefect in my dream was the prefect who had monitoring our class for morning session last Monday.

After the photographing session, I dunno what made me to do that thing, but in that dream, I had a race with her (weird enough, right?). We raced from the photographing session to the school. And we both arrived at the same time. We felt very fun in that race.

Honestly, I did not fell very happy about this dream. I was very afraid that this dream become reality.

[Mimpi adalah permainan syaitan, Lukhman...]

Second Test 2008 - History
Today, 4A sitting History test for the Second Test 2008. Actually, this test was scheduled to be conducted next week, but because of certain reason, Mdm Rauzan conducted it today. The chapters tested in this test was chapter 7 (Islam di Asia Tenggara) and chapter 8 (Pembaharuan dan Pengaruh Islam di Malaysia Sebelum Kedatangan Barat).

Most of us facing troubles answering the questions. Therefore, some of us cheating during test. This made Kelvin Jong uneasy, which led him saying cynically: "God 'bless' the cheaters."

I said to him: "God already give human brain, and still some of them cheat."

Experimental Accidents

For Physics today, we conducted experiment concerning Charles' Law and Pressure Law. For Charles' Law experiment, I think there should not be have problem. However, there was an accident when we conducting Pressure Law experiment.

Mr Chong asked three persons to help him conducting the experiment. So, I, Stanley Teng and Logaraj volunteering ourselves to help him.

During reading taking, the tube which connecting the barometer to the flasks burned. It was because the tube touched the hot tripod stands, which resulting the tube to burn.

Additional Mathematics Diagnostic Test
Today, we have no PSK class. However, a Additional Mathematics diagnostic test was conducted instead. The chapter tested was Chapter 1 (Functions). The paper contained 35 questions - all of them are objectives. We were asked to blackened the answers in the OMR paper provided.

The first person finished the paper was Leslie Wong. I was the third/fourth/fifth (I dunno which one) person who finished answering the questions earlier than the others.

Kehilangan Banyak Sangat ATP

Sekali lagi, penulis terlewat bangun pagi, menyebabkan 'kesesakan waktu' yang akhirnya menyebabkan penulis tidak sempat menunaikan solat Subuh.

[Malasnya.]
Ujian Diagnostik Biologi

Sekali Lagi Kehilangan Banyak Tenaga

Katanya: "You need have the proof showing that you following the class."

[Fuh, lega...]

Keputusan Pertandingan Membuat Risalah

Tempat keempat: Shalom
Tempat ketiga: Baxter
Tempat kedua: Allistair Yeo
Johan: Daryl Tian

A Night at Surau al-Jauhari, St. Joseph Secondary School

On 23 and 24 August, the JOSIPA Club of St. Joseph Secondary School organized a one-night-camp: Qiyamullail Camp. However, to our disappointment, only 5 students who joined the camp (including me). The rest of the invited students are just talking crap, giving some lame excuses yesterday.
Day 1
At 1.25 pm, Lukhman and Mohd Iqmal (5A) were the earliest student who came to Surau al-Jauhari. Then following by Wan Mohd. Fahrurrazi (5A, and the chairman of JOSIPA Club) at 2.30 pm, Mohd. Nadzmi (4D) at 3.00 and Mohd. Qamarul (4A) at 9.00 pm. After performing solat zuhur, Wan went to the Kuching Waterfront to buy kebab for dinner, while the rest stayed at the Surau. They watched a movie entitled Alvin and The Chipmunks.

Do not be surprised when reading the above paragraph.

They paused the moive for a while to perform solat asar. After solat asar, they continued watching the movie. According to Mohd. Iqmal, he said that Theodore is cute.

At 5.30 pm, Wan arrived, and the rest went to the washroom to take bath.

After performing solat Maghrib (led by Lukhman), Wan gave a short talk on Ramadhan month. We also discussed with him on small matters - well not small matters acutally, more to personal matters.

(Video) Tazkirah Maghrib: Fadhilat Ramadhan

Wan Fahrurrazi giving short talk, with Nadzmi and Iqmal paying full attention to it

Giving the talk based on the book borrowed from a Surau

Switching on the LCD, but still discussing with Wan about some matters

At 7.45 pm, Ustaz Manaf arrived. However, the gate are closed, so we have to find the guardian of St. Joe, including asking from Borther Albinus for the key of the main gate. After 30 minutes, he managed to enter the school. Then, we performed solat Isyak (led by Ustaz Manaf). After that, he gave a short talk on the importance of solat (prayer).

Then, we used the rest of the time to watched two videos: bith are the al-Quran recitation of Sheikh Abdul Rahman as-Sudais, the Grand Imam of Masjid al-Haram, Makkah. He recited the verses very emotionally, and obviously, he crying, which made us almost crying.

At 10.30 pm, we slept.

Day 2
Lukhman was woke up by Wan at 3.05 am, and he and Iqmal woken up the others. Then, we went to a place (I dunno how to say it in English) to take ablution.

Then we perfomed a few solat sunat for our Qiyamullail. First we performed solat tahajjud. The first 6 units of prayer was led by Wan Fahrurrazi, and the last 4 units of prayer was led by Lukhman.

Then we performed solat sunat tasbih, still led by Lukhman as the imam. It was very hard, and yet took almost 45 minutes to finish 4 units of prayer.

Then was solat taubat, led by Wan, and after that solat witir led by Lukhman.

At 5.00 am, Ustaz Manaf came again. He was then leading the solat Subuh this morning. He also gave another short talk after the prayer on the time according to Islam.

Ustaz Manaf as the imam for solat Subuh this morning

Then we watched some videos. One of the videos was entitled Siksaan Kubur. It is about a body who have been graved, but after 3 hours the body was taken out for some reason. Surprisingly, the condition of the face of the deceased was look like it was been crashed by something and his mouth bled (the blood still fresh). It is obviously the evidence of the 'seksaan kubur' just like stated in al-Quran.

Ustaz Manaf, Qamarul, Nadzmi and Iqmal enjoying their meals while watching the videos

Wan - dealing with his 'dangerous' laptop :P

Wah, begitu khusyuk Ustaz dan Qamarul ya...

Sponsored by Chipmore *sarcasm intended* (just kidding)

At 8.00 we packed our own things and then went home.

This was the picture of the three participants before we went home. No pictures for me, never mind.

Am I 'Perasan'..?

Somehow, I think today's one of the most exhausting days for me. So many things happened today, and some of them reminds me about my own self, making me reflecting back what I have done in my life.
Condition of the Class
I went to the school as usual, and when I arrived there, I found out only a few tables arranged one by one in good condition. The rest of the tables were put at the back of the class. This made some of us had to rearranged the tables according to our plan. I, Daniel and James had to arranged all of them. The condition of the class seemed to 'tell' me that an examination had just take place in our class during holiday. Probably for PTK.

Then, I and James spent most of the time before class to clean the class. Some parts of the class are very dusty, and the same thing happened to some of our tables and chairs.

Today's Chemistry PEKA Experiment: FAILED
Well, today we conducted our first Chemistry PEKA experiment: electroplating iron spoon. However, the experiment seemed not giving out the result, or in other words failed. My group were so confused. We did not know what's wrong with our apparatus.

The ammeter needle did not moved, even a little bit, and the same thing happened to some other groups which conducted their experiment successfully. All the connection in the circuit were correct - nothing wrong. As the result we had to copy all the observation from Emmanuel's reference book.

Taking Kesusasteraan Melayu as My 12th Subjects in SPM
After Physics class was recess time. However, I did not bring my money, so I continued study and doing works in starvation. During recess, I and James tried to find Mdm Jennifer to confirm about today's EST class. Unfortunately, she's not there for the whole recess time, which made James patiently waited for her outside the staff room.

Then, I went to Mdm Halipah's place to talk about my decision to take Kesusasteraan Melayu (Malay Literature) as my 12th subjects for SPM. She said that I have no choice except to study it alone, because all the KM class conducted in morning session (no luar sidang session). She said she had no problem and agree, but she advised me to talk about it to Mdm Chin.

Tadarus al-Quran (Reciting al-Quran) during Ramadhan Month
After teaching, Ustazah Mona asked me to calculate the number of school days during Ramadhan, because she plan to conduct tadarus al-Quran in the afternoon time. There were 15 days (not including Fridays and weekends). So, according to my analysis, we had to recite 2 juzuks (volume) of al-Quran in a day.

Then we discussed. We achieved the decision to take 10 students to conduct the activity. For now, only 2 students confirmed their participation: Lukhman and Azlan Nuraqmal.

Teenager's Love Issue
During EST class, Mdm Jennifer was wondering why Anton absent today's class. Some of us just crapping stating that Anton is having a date. Then, they started to be kepoh, who was Anton's girlfriend. And then they started to tease other people, saying out their girlfriends' names loudly.

Then, I said, "Haiya, kecil-kecil sudah bercinta..."

My words were followed by teacher's question, "Why? Are you jealous..?"

...........

Honestly, I really jealous. You know what, I just having crushes on girls four times, and three of them were total fail, the latest are going to fail, I think. Yeah, I'm very perasan person.

Second Mid-Term School Holiday: An Epilogue

Well, this holiday was quite short actually. Only a few interesting events happened, and most of the time was fulled with bored things.
From 17th to 22nd of August, I spent my time at Sarikei for the second time, still the same reason: my father had court case there. Actually, we were supposed to come back here on 21st August, but due to some unexpected reasons, we had to go on 22nd. There, I did usual things: visiting my best friends, reading books at the library, and walking around the town.

Surprisingly, I made an important decision there. Because of my enthusiasm to write detective stories, I decided to take Kesusasteraan Melayu for my additional SPM subjects, which made all of them 12 subjects. I am planning to ask my BM teacher about it before I really made up my mind to take it.

The 12 SPM subjects I took were:
  1. Bahasa Melayu
  2. English
  3. Mathematics
  4. Additional Mathematics
  5. Physics
  6. Biology
  7. Chemistry
  8. History
  9. English for Science and Technology
  10. Pendidikan Islam
  11. Tasawwur Islam
  12. Kesusasteraan Melayu (pending)

At Sarikei also, I got an idea for my adventuring stories. This happened when I at the Public Library. When I was on the way to the upper part of the library, I saw a really beautiful girl with her long straight hair, white T-shirts and blue jeans. In my heart, I praised Allah for creating such beautiful creation. Then, my mind kept thinking about numbers of boys attracted to her. However, the idea still now came yet, until I saw her again walking outside the library area with a boy. Then, the idea for my next short story really come. I was imagined that some sort of gang tailing a couple of teenagers: one boy, one girl. The gang kill the boy, then kidnap the girl. Then, the main character (of courselah, the young detective) cam across that area and accidentally saw the event.

However, to my disappointment, I received a news from my former tuition teacher (I mean, the tuition teacher when I was in Year 6). Her family have connection with my family. I visited them alone. When I arrived there, I was shocked looking the appearance of her husband. I was informed that he suffering a kind of disease, until he could not go to school for a month. To my another surprise, they did not know that my family already moved to Kuching.

That was the epilogue of my holidays.

Another Account of Me On 17th August

My clock rang at 4.15 am (acutally it's 4.10 am, I purposely make it 5 minutes faster). So I woke up and went to the toilet, then opened my computer to check my mailbox. 4 unread messages, informing that I received new comments fom Jessie and Daryl, then reminding me about Adrian's birthday date, and the same lame aplication invitations.
While waiting for 4.55 am, I took the rest of the time to download the video of Friday sermon at Masjid al-Haram delivered by Sheikh Dr. Saud bin Ibrahim as-Shuraim.

At 4.55 am, I set my PC into Standby mode. On the way to the surau, I saw the moon a little bit weird. It was supposed to be in full moon because today is 15 Syaaban. However, the phase of the moon just now giving me impression that just now the lunar eclipse was occured.

At the surau, I heard some of the kids' voices, showing that they were already awake. So I waited for the solat Subuh, which was at 5.22 am. There, I observed carefully the moon. My deduction telling me that just now a lunar eclipse was occured. However, I did not hear any news regarding the latest predicted lunar eclipse.

After finishing today's Solat Subuh, I went back to my home. I quickly opened the NASA Eclipse Web Site. My deduction was proven. Today is the date predicted which the partial lunar eclipse will occur.

Oh, I missed again.

Solat Hajat for St. Joe's Sixth Year Students

After delayed a day, today, solat hajat for St. Joe's sixth year students was held at Surau Darul Ibadat.
When I arrived at there at 6.30 pm, I saw a few boys already there, with their bags outside the prayer place. They were planning to sleep there for a night.

While waiting for the time of solat Maghrib (because it was already my volunteering job to call for prayer at there), I revised again my hafazan (memorization) of al-Quran. From it, I found out that I now began to forgot some parts of the memorised chapters, until I could not help referring to the al-Quran.

After giving azan for solat Maghrib, a man (a teacher from St. Joseph Primary School) seemed to know me.

"Do you live here?" he asked me.

With a shock expression, I answered, "Yes. Er... do you know me?"

"Yes, why not. Isn't you who participate the previous Karnival Islam at St. Joe, is it?"

No wonder he know me.

* * * * *
After solat Maghrib, the imam and the makmums recited Surah Yaasin and the doa for today's nisfu Syaaban for three times. I only managed to recited twice because of my throats. So I went to the toilet, and then took ablution.

After I took ablution, I took the opportunity to drink the Milo drinks prepared for today. So I was one of the eraly people who drink it. :P

* * * * *
After solat Isyak and solat Hajat, all the makmums went for dinner at a special room, while the sixth year kids outside the prayer hall.

While I was enjoying my meals, a teacher (a morning session teacher from St. Joseph Secondary School) asked me, "Do you live here, Lukhman?"

The same question by different person, an d the same expression after hearing the question.

"Yes, ma'am."

The teacher who asking me the question was the same teacher who gave compliments to me about my sermon yesterday for prayer service. According to her, for 30 years she teaching there, this was the first time a student doing that (I mean, delivering sermon in front of the students and the teachers).

Then I continued enjoying my meal.

Some Pictures about Me

This is one of my latest artwork. The first line I used Nasakh style, and the last line was Turkish Thuluth style. Nevertheless, I found something wrong at the letters wau and alif at the word nota. And I did not fil much decorations at the word Sejarah as I using Turkish Thuluth style.

This is a view of Surau Darul Ibadat at my residence on evening Sunday after maghrib azan. This surau always being like this during weekends. I took this picture when I felt not very good that day.

4 Hours and 45 Minutes at Criminal Investigation Department

Imagine that you receive a call from your friends asking you to come at his/her place to help her while you are doing your things. When you arrive there, you realize that you need to classify hundreds of pictures taken into a few respective groups, which were need to be finish in a day. Can you do it?
4 Hours and 45 Minutes at Criminal Investigation Department was the title chosen for today. Please do not imagine bad things. I'm not that bad until I have go to CID place.

This story began while I was busy watching video I downloaded from Haramain Salaat Recordings when my dad called me to come to his work place to help him something. So, at 12.30 pm, I went from my home to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for Sarawak Contingent.

When I arrived there, I was informed by my dad and his colleagues that I need to insert 132 pictures they taken yesterday and today (which was already grouped into 17 folders, according to the region of this Kuching) into 17 slides, then I need to hyperlinked them from one slides. I need to keep the reason why they took 132 pictures around the Kuching, as it was police's task.

Maybe all of you wondering, why they must seek help from me?

As most of them did not know how to use the functions in Microsoft Office Powerpoint very well (including my dad), so I had to help them.

From 12.45 to 2.30 pm, we only managed to finish 5 folders, and there still left 12 folders of pictures needed to be inserted into 12 slide presentations. Then I got an idea.

I saw a laptop on a table, and in the room there were only one computer with a large monitor (larger than mine) for D6 department, which related to the photos/videos/audios stuff.

So I took 6 folders from the computer via a pendrive and put it into the laptop. Then I did the six folders of pictures, while the rest done by one of my dad's colleagues.

At 5.00 pm, I managed to finish the 6 folders and my dad's colleague also the same. Then I took 15 minutes to hyperlink all the boxes on a map to the respective slide presentations. However, I cannot arraged all the boxes into the right region on the map, because I need to go home to pack my things for tomorrows' second trip to Sarikei.

Short Talk to Myself

Abdul Hakim Lukhman opened the RealPlayer application and heard the al-Quran recitation of Grand Imam of Masjid al-Haram, Sheikh Abdul Rahman as-Sudais, looking so emo.

"Are you alone now, Lukhman?" Abdul Hakim was addressed by a 'voice'.

"Yes, I admit that I'm alone," he replied.

"Why? Don't you have friends?" asked 'the voice'.

"I have friends, but I'm seeking for true friends. Everyone around me... most of them I can feel that they are munafiq (hypocrites)."

"It was very hard to find true friends. Wait a minute, are you also means that girlfriend?"

"Ermm... maybe." Abdul Hakim grinned, then his look became sad for a while. "I always being crushed on girls, but they seemed not."

* * * * *
"Have you set your future target? I mean, your next move after secondary school?" 'the voice' asking Abdul Hakim again.

Before Abdul Hakim replied the question, he was hearing Sheikh Mahir al-Muayqali's al-Quran recitation.

"Yes. My main target is to take the as-Sunnah Studies in Islamic University of al-Madinah al-Munawwarah. If not at there, maybe at al-Azhar University in Cairo," Abdul Hakim replied.

"But, doesn't it means that you need a good result, especially in High/Communication Arabic Language?"

"I can take it by taking diploma at International Islamic University in Kuala Lumpur. And I'm aiming A1 for my Bahasa Melayu, English, History, Pendidikan Islam and Tasawwur Islam."

* * * * *

Abdul Hakim Lukhman still hearing Sheikh Muayqali's recitation when 'the same voice' asking him another question.

"Why, in your opinion, not many girls attracted to you?"

Abdul Hakim thought for a while.

"Maybe I was too 'holy' (alim)."

"No. It's good actually."

"Maybe I was too shy."

"Nonsense. You can deliver sermon this morning, and you still claimed that you are shy?"

"Maybe I did not understand girls' feeling."

Silent for a while.

"Maybe I was bad in this thing."

"Maybe you should conduct an experiment to find out the factors," said 'the voice'.

Inquire First Into Its Truth

In al-Quran, Allah says to the whole Muslimin: "O believers! If a wicked person brings you a piece of news, inquire first into its truth, lest you should wrong others unwittingly and repent of what you have done." (Surah al-Hujurat : 6). However, today most of the Muslimins ignored this order.
Today was the last second prayer service held for this year. Today we were using the stadium. I went there as early as Wan Fahrurrazi. There, we done a little bit thing, especially regarding the setting for this prayer service. Then, 6.45 am, the other AJK of JOSIPA came and help us and Pn Zalma.

At 7.30, we began the Muslim prayer service, started with the Surah Yaasin recitation led by Ustaz Manaf. Then a talk about fasting was delivered by Pn. Noraini, followed by a khutbah, delivered by me. I do not have any idea about my voice, but it seemed to be a little bit painful. Nevertheless, I tried to raise up my voice.

Today, I noticed that, everytime after prayer service, I will feel sleepy. Maybe too much I did just now.

Just now I received a message from someone claiming that:
SEKARANG NIE KRISTIAN SEDANG AKTIF DI SEREMBAN ..1900 ORANG PADERI MELAYU YANG BARU TIBA DARI SINGAPURA BERADA DI SINI SEKARANG.MEREKA MENGGUNAKAN SIHIR. BERHATI- HATI DENGAN JENAMA (AIR MINERAL):- 1. AL -BARAMKAH 2. AL-MANSORI 3. AL-BISTARIA P/SAMA ADA DIPEROLEHI SECARA PERCUMA @DIBELI@MENCURI... SEMUA AIR-AIR INI TELAH DICAMPUR DENGAN "HOLY WATER" TOLONG SEBARKAN MESSAGE INI KEPADA SEMUA UMAT ISLAM /SAHABAT/SAHABIAH &DLL. SESUNGGUHNYA KITA TAK TERMAMPU MEMEGANG SENJATA UNTUK MENEGAKKAN AGAMA (ISLAM), AKAN TAPI KITA BOLEH LAKUKAN DENGAN SEND MESSAGE NIE ...SEMOGA JASA BAIK INI DIRAHMATI OLEH ALLAH SWT..
(I'm very very very sorry if this message make my Christian friends feel angry, but I have to this to explain something.)

Honestly, I will not believe this kind of news anymore, unless there is evidence showed that that news are true. My principle is very easy: If someone you don't know (whether he/she can be trusted or wicked) bring a piece of news to you, you must inquire first into the news' turth. The reason is so that you did not wrong others unwittingly (just like I said from the beginning of this entry). This principle is based on the verse I stated in the beginning of this entry.

I have enough of this kind of unclear-news. Previously, I had received a news claimed that:
AMINNN!!!
At first, I believed blindly this news, until I read this entry at Dr. Mohd. Asri Zainul Abidin's blog:

I was deceived by this stupid news as the result of my ignorance towards the Allah's says. And now, I will inquire into the truth of every piece of news I received.

Maybe you should (including the non-Muslim) watched these videos. If you got questions regarding what Dr. Asri said in the videos, you can ask me via comments.

This is the videos from Bicara Mufti program in RTM1.

NOTE: To the readers (especially the Muslims), if you receive a piece of news from a wicked person, please inquire first into its truth.

12th Syaaban - Bahas Piala Ketua Menteri Sarawak 2008 (Final)

St. Joseph had receive a invitation letter to the final Chief Minister Cup Debate 2008. 20 students are selected: 10 students from Form 3 and 10 students from Form 4. From Form 4 was me, Roland Teo, Kelvin Ting, Joel Justin, Mohammad Azri, Mohammad Qamarul, Christ Andra, Adrian Ho, Daryl Tian, and Kelvin Jong.
We went to Auditorium P Ramlee, RTM Kuching at 8.00 am. We was supposed to go there at 7.20. However, the latest news we received stated that the Chief Minister will arrive at 9.50 am (however, it was later than that). We went there with happy feeling, because we will not at the school for the whole day, means that we no need to sit for Biology diagnostic test.

While waiting for the Chief Minister at the auditorium, we did our own work. Some of them playing games, e.g I and Roland playing Bingo game. At 10.00 am, the Chief Minister arrived.

The competing teams for this final was SMK Matang Jaya, Kuching and SMK Marudi, Baram.

SMK Matang Jaya, Kuching (Pencadang)
Pencadang pertama: An'nisa Fatin Farhana bt. Ramlee
Pencadang kedua: Nor Syuhadah bt Ismail
Pencadang ketiga: Mohd. Fizree b. Montgomery

SMK Marudi, Baram (Pembangkang)
Pembangkang pertama: Francis Henry
Pembangkang kedua: Paula Bermas ak. Judan
Pembangkang ketiga: Siti Kethijah bt. Ahad

The topic debated for today was Perpaduan Rakyat Merupakan Penentu Utama Pembangunan Negara. The topic seemed to be easy win for Matang Jaya, but it is not.

During debate, only supporters of SMK Matang Jaya (of courselah from Matang Jaya itself) clapped for SMK Matang Jaya when they finished their turns, while the reast clapped for Marudi, including St. Joe.

Pencadang Pertama: ...merungkaikan, mematahkan hujah pembangkang yang rapuh..
Me: (talked to Roland and Kelvin Ting) hujah kamu sendiri rapuh, nak patahkan hujah orang lain pula..
Roland and Kelvin: (smiled)

The best debater was Francis Henry from SMK Marudi, and the winner for this final was SMK Marudi.

In my opinion, there are a few factors that made SMK Matang Jaya lose to SMK Marudi, including:
  1. They 'did not understand fully' BM. Their opponent stated that, "Kami tidak menafikan perpaduan sebagai salah satu penentu pembangunan negara, tetapi kami membangkang bahawa perpaduan rakyat merupakan penentu utama..", but SMK Matang Jaya kept accusing that SMK Marudi denying that the solidarity is not the factors in development of our country.
  2. They did not accept the challange from SMK Marudi. Before the opponents finishing their turn, they challanged the governments to answer their questions. However, SMK Matang Jaya did not accept the challange, which then showed that SMK Matang Jaya are very coward.
  3. SMK Matang Jaya used the wrong fact. They claimed that the Pyramid of Giza and the Great Wall of China were built because of the solidarity of the people in the country. However, actually, the Pyramid of Giza and the Great Wall of China were built forcely by using the slaves as the workers.
After having lunch at RTM, we went back to St. Joe. The last bell was ringing when we arrived there.

You Can Definitely Spot a Liar

Maybe you have good instincts. Or maybe you just have a lot of experience with liars.

Either way, it's pretty hard for someone to pull a fast one on you. You're like a human lie detector.

Only one reason explains this: I have experience to be liar (but not now).

You Are 32% Shy

You are slightly shy, but overall, your reactions to social situations are normal.

You dread difficult social situations, but you still handle them with grace.

Well, actually it's more than 32%, especially with girls.

You Have Your Sarcastic Moments

While you're not sarcastic at all times, you definitely have a cynical edge.

In your opinion, not all people are annoying. Some are dead!

And although you do have your genuine moments, you can't help getting your zingers in.

Some people might be a little hurt by your sarcasm, but it's more likely they think you're hilarious.

Bullseye.

You Should Be a Film Writer

You don't just create compelling stories, you see them as clearly as a movie in your mind.

You have a knack for details and dialogue. You can really make a character come to life.

Chances are, you enjoy creating all types of stories. The joy is in the storytelling.

And nothing would please you more than millions of people seeing your story on the big screen!

No. I want to be detective story writer.

11 Syaaban - Really Really Really Weird

Today was really a busy day for me. That's why I was very late updating this honorable blog. I was very sorry for that.
Today I tried not to eat or drink at the school for the preparation for Ramadhan. I think I can stand a little bit, but it is harder than in Sarikei.

During recess, I went to the staffroom to see my Biology teacher. The purpose I met her was want to borrow one of her 'enermous' reference book for tomorrow's diagnostic test. She lend to me the Longman Essential Biology Form 4 Bilingual Text. That was a Teacher's Copy, which was not for sale.

However, to my surprise, she also gave me the Super Hot Biology Form 4, as shown at the right. Then, she advise me to do all the exercise inside that book. Owhhh... alhamdulillah, again this was my another rezeki from Allah.

However, I wonder why she gave it to me rather than other people.

Maybe she knew I was bad at Biology.

Or maybe I was thinking too much.

[Just accpet and do what she saidlah, Lukhman]

Then, I used fully this book after Civic class. I did some of the questions inside this book at the library. There, I noticed that I really like Biology and to my anothwer surprise, Biology is (a little bit) easy.

You can call me weird if you think I am weird after reading the previous paragraph.
