First Evidence:
Criminal investigation (or rather called it forensic science) had been used since the early era of Islam. For instance, Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h.) was able to recognize the father of a baby by just comparing the baby's face with the face of the man (who made illegal sex intercourse with the woman).

Second Evidence:
After the Battle of Badar, there were two Muslim men, went to meet the Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h.), each of them claimed that they killed Abu Jahal. The Messenger of Allah asked them whether they had cleaned their swords. Both of them brought their swords that had not been cleaned (still got blood stains on the swords), and the Messenger of Allah examine the swords before determining the man who killed Abu Jahal. However, the way the Messenger of Allah did to determine it was not stated.

Third Evidence:
In the time of Caliph Umar bin Al-Khattab's reign, there was an Ansari woman who fell in love to a handsome man. She tried to seduce the man, but failed. One day, she accused the man for doing something onto her.
Caliph Umar nearly believe the woman's accusation. If not because Ali bin Abu Talib, the innocent man already had been executed by Caliph Umar.
A few women were gathered to recognize the semen trace on the Ansari woman's clothes. They recognized the traces left as the dried semen trace.
However, Ali bin Abu Talib wisely poured hot water onto the clothes, and the semen trace turned into a white solid. Indeed, Ali bin Abu Talib tasted the white solid until the Ansari woman became afraid. Then, the woman admitted that she lied, by wiping white egg at her clothes.

Fourth Evidence:
In the famous Islamic literature story One Thousand and One Nights, there was a story where can be said that the first detective fiction in Arabic literature.
In that part of the story, Caliph Harun al-Rasyid ordered his vizier Jaafar bin Yahya to investigate the murder case in three days. If Jaafar bin Yahya failed to found out the culprit, he will be executed.

Honestly, when I found out the fact in the Fourth Evidence, I was surprised. I did not expect that the Muslims were among the earliest people founding the detective fiction with the Chinese. Indeed, they were among the earliest people practicing forensic investigation. I really salute them for their creativity.
